The Club Management Association of America’s (CMAA) National Professional Development Committee has officially approved RCS Hospitality Group’s Club Management Certificate Program for nationwide distribution.

Originally launched in 2023 in partnership with the Florida Chapter Club Management Association of America, this innovative online program was developed to meet the evolving needs of club professionals. Designed to accommodate the unique demands of the industry, including seasonal operations, multigenerational staff dynamics, and time or resource constraints, the program is now available to CMAA Chapters and members nationwide.

This program is designed for new or up-and-coming managers looking for CMAA approved education; any manager pursuing their CCM who needs 10 Other Education Credits and any hospitality professional – CMAA member or not – interested in learning the essentials of private club management.

whitney-1-1“Our goal is to create an accessible, high-impact introduction to professional development in club management for club leaders across the country,” said Whitney Pennell, Founder and President of RCS Hospitality Group. “We hope this inspires participants to continue their journey in club management and pursue their CCM designation. Upon completing all modules, they will receive
10 ‘Other Education Credits’ recognized by CMAA.”

Delivered through RCS Hospitality Group’s virtual training portal, RCS University (RCSU), the program offers education for all 11 CMAA Core Competencies through engaging, self-paced online modules developed by managers, for managers. Participants gain access to interactive video content, live and recorded webinars, assessments, white papers, and downloadable resources—each aligned to a specific learning objective.

The CMCP program offers education and training for all 11 Core Competencies: Club Governance, Interpersonal Skills, Leadership, Accounting, Finance, and Data Analytics, External Governmental Influences, Human and Professional Resources, Membership and Marketing, Facilities Management, Food and Beverage, Golf, Sports, Recreation & Wellness, and Information Technology. The courses help participants gain confidence and knowledge to lead effectively, enhance their department, and grow within the private club industry.

Flexible, Chapter-Friendly Implementation
Chapters can adopt the program at no cost or commitment, with the flexibility to add custom content—such as regional or regulatory insights—to enhance the learning experience. The core program remains consistent for participants, while optional Chapter-specific modules can further tailor the training.

Enrollment is priced at $850 per participant, with 12 months to complete the curriculum. Upon successful completion, participants receive a certificate, and their credits are submitted directly to CMAA.

As an added incentive, for every 25 enrollments from a CMAA Chapter, RCS Hospitality Group will donate $500 to that Chapter’s Scholarship Fund, reinforcing a shared commitment to continuing education.
