This year marks RCS Hospitality Group’s 25th anniversary!

To celebrate, RCS is launching its first-ever scholarship program, named in honor of RCS Hospitality Group’s President & Founder Whitney Reid Pennell. The scholarships are designed for club managers actively pursuing their Certified Club Manager (CCM) designation and successfully completing a (Business Management Institute) BMI course. A total of five individual $500 scholarships will be awarded each year.

“I am so honored and surprised by this wonderful tribute to RCS,” said RCS Hospitality Group’s President & Founder Whitney Reid Pennell when presented with news of the scholarship programs creation by consultant and lead trainer Nancy King, MBA. “Nancy was able to achieve this – it is something I’ve always wanted to do, and this is absolutely the perfect time as we mark 25 years of serving the hospitality industry.”

Pennell is a renowned industry leader with more than 30 years of experience in club operations management and hospitality consulting. Pennell, a recipient of the Gary Player Educator of the Year award, is known for her work in educating professionals in the club management industry. She has spearheaded multi-million-dollar renovations, club openings, and events ranging from private banquets to national PGA and LPGA tournaments. An expert in marketing strategies and training programs, Pennell is also a published author and sought-after speaker, having presented at prestigious events like the World Conference on Club Management and Business Management Institute International at St. Andrews. Her work has been featured in BoardRoom Magazine and Golf Inc. Magazine. Under her leadership, RCS Hospitality Group has earned multiple accolades, including BoardRoom Magazine’s “Staff Training Company of the Year” for eight consecutive years, "Consulting Company of the Year,” and "Strategic Planning Company of the Year.”

Said King, “This scholarship in honor of Whitney and all she has done for the industry and future generations of leaders, just seemed like a natural for us – to give back to the managers at private clubs who are working toward their CCM designation. The response at the CMAA World Conference and Business Expo has been phenomenal and we are excited to announce our first recipients in August.”
